    if we wanted to change the color of the blog post title (currently orange) to and the blog post title bar (currently Blue) where can we change this?

  2. 2
    Colleen Says:

    All colors are controlled in the stylesheet.

    You change the blog post title colors in this bit of code, color codes may be different depending on the color scheme you’re using.

    .posttitle h2 a:link, .posttitle h3 a:link {
    text-decoration: underline;
    color: #9a2325;
    }
    .posttitle h2 a:visited, .posttitle h3 a:visited {
    text-decoration: underline;
    color: #393939;
    }
    .posttitle h2 a:hover, .posttitle h3 a:hover {
    text-decoration: underline;
    color: #ff0000;
    }

    This is where you change the blog post title bar color.

    .postmetadata {
    background: #393939;
    color: #fff;
    height: auto;
    text-align: right;
    padding: 1px 5px 1px 0;
    margin: 0;
    font-size: 0.8em;
    }

    Is there be a simple way to add my logo in the left area of the header, just to the left of the Title and Subtitle?

    I love the WP Colors blue\orange fixed width theme. It’s clean and easy to read with bright colors. However, I have no need for the AdSense stuff and commented it out of the code, but now I have a big empty space in the sidebar. I’ve been looking at the code trying to shrink the sidebar down to one column but can’t seem to find the right place. Can you point me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

    Colleen Says:

    Art, it would have to be recoded.

    Bill, you just stick the image in the header template, beside the title and left align the image.

    Paris Beaverbanks Says:

    Hi Colleen, thanks for your beautiful themes. I’m using both this one and another of your WP colour themes for both my blogs. I love them for the clean look and it helps its SEO friendly too.

    One little thing that bugs me is that the text doesn’t wrap around the images. Is there a way to correct this? I’d like for text to wrap around images some of the time and not to wrap at other times. Is there a way to do that?

    Otherwise, keep up the good work!

    Colleen Says:

    Hi Paris, yes this is possible.

    In your image tag, when you create a new post, you have to add style=”float:left” or style=”float:right” depending which side you want the image on.

    Hi, Colleen, there is a different view between IE and FF. The sidebar is like a bit emm… maybe should take a look.

    Tim Says:

    Hi -

    I’ve downloaded and am now using the blue-orange theme. Very nice! One question: If I decide to use one of the other color schemes (e.g red/black), can you just switch out a css file or does it require a total new install? I’ve customized sidebars, etc. and would like to avoid doing it again.

    Thanks

  22. 22
    Colleen Says:

    Hello Tim, if memory serves me right, you can switch the stylesheet, but there’s graphics involved with different names based on color, you can right click on them in the demo and save them and upload over yours. Then in the template files if there’s a reference to an image, make sure it’s name is right, that should be all.

    Raymond Says:

    Is it possible to change the standard search box to a Google Adsense search box? Is it as easy as pasting the Google generated code into searchform.php?

  24. 24
    Colleen Says:

    I don’t know Raymond,you’d have to try it out and see. I would think removing what’s in searchform.php and replacing it with Google’s code would be ok.
