[…] This theme comes with a file you need to edit to include your themes image folder url, that file is “collapse.js”. If you don’t edit the url, your boxes won’t work as nicely. If javascript is disabled, the boxes will just display as they normally would, expanded. View the demo: Flawless Imperfection. Nice design. I’ve been designing some themes in Liverpool soon to be released.
I note you have a nice spam protector with the users of this blog, not registered, needing to copy a random number string, or whatever we call it. I’d be interested to know how you done that.

Thanks Collen, I bookmarked this forum in the hope of an answer and have found that answer.
Its a nice website/blog by the way, well designed.
I also used your WordPress theme ‘Flawless Imperfection’ mainly to see how to get the nice rounded effect over the various link sections in the sidebar. After some scratching of the head, I ended up making two divs to go over the top and bottom of anything I need contained.
I’ll post here when I release a two sidebar theme, that fits nice into even an 800 resolution screen.
Good luck with the WordPress themes

Very nice theme, clean well presented and subtle colour / design. I can’t find the collapse.js file. Also would you be willing to supply the photoshop files so the images can be edited? Please could you email them or allow them to be downloaded.
Thank you for sharing this great theme.

Hi Darren, I can see if I have the PSD and email it to you. As for the collapse.js it should be in there, but it has never worked properly, once I started including it in the php it would upload wrong and get broken, and the way I originally had it, most never listened and didn’t edit the path to the file and all their themes are broken. I will remove the collapse functionality, no one used it.

hi colleen,
i recently started working on my own wordpress blog and downloaded your “flawless imperfection” theme. i just loved it! i finally was able to figure out that i had to edit the collapse.js file after coming here to your site and finding that info about it.
anyway, it works fine after editing and i do like those little expand/collapse buttons. i will probably keep them on my page
just wanted to say thank you for this lovely theme…butterflies are one of my most favorite things and when i found your theme, and saw that it was for free, i was so very delighted and thankful.
just wanted to let you know i appreciate it.
have a wonderful day!
blessings,
Sarah

Hey Colleen.
I was wondering…did you find the PSD file like Darren asked? If so, I would be interested in getting it myself so I could change a few things up.
Love this theme.

Sorry about that, I didn’t get a chance to see if I have it, I will look, and if I do I will stick it in the themes zip and update this.

The PSD is now included.

I downloaded this template for my wordpress account and I cannot tell you how totally impressed I am with it. I usually have all kinds of odd things happen when I go to using a new template and I haven’t had any trouble with yours. On top of that it’s gorgeous. After that I downloaded all of the other templates and even tried several of them. Silent Night, Tranquil Rose, and solemn orange are also so beautiful.
I don’t know what it is but your templates put many found on Wordpress to shame.
My only problem is I like to add Site Meter and Technorati and don’t know how to include them in the Meta box on the sidebar. I’ve tried many times but have hosed it over and over and don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
Anyway, thank you for sharing such lovely templates

Well, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but I can’t get this theme to work. First, before I installed the widgets plugin and added widgets, I had an error message in the Resources box. Then I installed a couple of widgets and they’re too close together and the bottoms are cut off the boxes. I’ve installed a few themes before, I thought I just had to upload the files and turn it on, but I’m having a lot of trouble with this one. We’re running 2.1.2 on this site. What did I do wrong?
Thanks!

I downloaded this theme a while back and love it. It’s one of the most well thought out and polished of the free blog templates. However, I upgraded to Wordpress 2.1.3 and now have strange and cryptic stuff showing up in the Resources section of the sidebar. I don’t know enough about the code to fix it. Any suggestions? Here is what shows up:
Resources WordPress database error: [Unknown column ‘cat_order’ in ‘order clause’]
SELECT * FROM wp_categories WHERE cat_ID > 0 AND link_count > 0 ORDER BY cat_order ASC
It’s too cryptic for me to get a handle on and fix myself. If you want to see it live just visit my website link.
Thanks for the help and thanks for sharing you nice work!

Nevermind. AFter some messing around I got it. I pulled the categories line of code from the Tranquil Rose theme and pasted it over the line of code in flawless imperfection and it actually fixed it. Sometimes I amaze myself.

Sorry. I don’t mean to keep posting here but I was wondering how I could get the blog to show the most recent 5-7 comments. Sometimes people post comments to things I’ve written ages ago and I’d like for new viewers to see the comments as this might get them to read some of the older posts. Thanks again!

I only design themes, I don’t know anything complex and this is not the place to ask, sorry.

Using on my family site - very nice design, and the sidebar elements add a little extra WOW. Thanks for making it available, and hopefully you will add more with similar originality.

The Robert Schuller quote is inspiring.
Thanks.

I’ve been using this theme for a while now and just want to say THANKS Colleen! I love it! Have not figured out why the bottoms of the boxes are not rounded up, but who cares, still looks classy.
