I finally did it, our popular Wordpress theme, Blue Tech is now compatible with the popular plugin known as Widgets.
There’s other updates to Blue Tech as well, so here’s a list.
- Sidebar is now all divs/css, it was tables before, making it clunky and hard to add to.
- Added a 1px white top border below the header and above the blue bar to separate it better.
- Added instructions to the ReadMe file to explain how to add more links to the top blue bar.
- Spaced the comments out better and added a solid border around each comment.
- Sidebar links now turn white and underlined on hover
- Made images in posts look prettier.
- Changed the blogroll so each category now has it’s own title.
And that’s all I can think of. I’ve wanted to do this for awhile now, especially getting the tables out of the sidebar.

I have Corporate Pro and Winter Wonderland on my website. Modified the header a bit on the Corporate Pro layout and made it my default, because it looks tons better than the two layouts I paid a web designer to do!
I also tried modifying Winter Wonderland to remove the bottom snowdrift (I liked it, but thought it blocked the view of too much of the screen). Of course I messed everything up when I did that because I can’t code.
Love your work and will be checking back often.

When I go to view my site using IE, its not displaying properly. I use firefox primarily but is there something I am missing here?

I have some problems with sidebar when i use Firefox. Here is screenshot – http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/7500/blogem5.jpg
And this is only when i use Firefox.
With other browsers like IE, Opera and K-Meleon everything looks good.

gyx, which version of Firefox? If it’s not the most recent, please upgrade, if that’s not the problem, which platform are you using?

I always use the latest version of Firefox.
But the problem WAS unknown – I install the theme again and now everything looks just fine.
