Roboform problems in Firefox

Today, Roboform won’t load into Firefox for me. Normally it loads in across the top as a toolbar. I’ve right-clicked and checked it off to load in, it loads in then disappears and the tabs move back up to replace it. This isn’t good as it contains at least hundreds of my passwords.

Anyone ever have this problem and know what I can do? I can’t access any of my sites, I could only log into my Wordpress admin here due to getting a password change.

It’s the most recent Roboform I am using and Firefox 2.0.0.14

Update

So, after contacting Roboform’s support, something finally fixed this problem, they told me to fully remove Firefox and then reinstall it. First, I had to remove ALL traces of it, so that includes the folders it leaves behind. After all this, I downloaded it and reinstalled it and my Roboform toolbar is working again in Firefox.

I hope this helps someone else who encounters the same problem I did.

Dr. bobbi Anne white unless this is about roboform, I cannot help. And if it is about roboform, I probably still can’t help so you’d have to ask them.

  2. I set up a wordpress blog for a friend http://multi-translation.biz

I can log in, but she can’t.
what do you think might be the problem?

Hey Dan, lucky you, I had to totally remove Firefox to fix it, I still wonder what went wrong to cause it to stop working.

Good job on the Roboform fix. I ran into something similar a while back and wound up uninstalling then reinstalling Roboform, it did the trick too. :)

Hi Pamela, it does work in other browsers, but I use Firefox. I managed to fix it, I will edit my blog entry and post how. :)

I’m thinking that maybe if you load up a different browser? (IE, or even AOL’s proprietary one). I noticed the option, by right-clicking on taskbar icon, I was able to ask it to temporarily load in the browser I was using at the moment, even when it wasn’t initially installed there. Hope this is clear.

And I hope this works! There’s got to be a way to access that info…

    Best, Pamela

Hi Pamela, thanks for the reply.

I have tried that and also reinstalling Firefox over the existing installation, still no go. I redownloaded the files for Firefox to get it to work and that also didn’t work.

I submitted a support ticket at the Roboform website, I have the pro version, hoping they respond soon.

This happened to me once, and reinstalling Roboform right over existing installation (I have the latest free version) did the trick. I didn’t lose any information by doing this, and was also using latest 2 version of Firefox.

    Hope this helps….Pamela
